Leaning against a tree in 20mph wind I shot a 3 shot group at 3000 psi and 90%ish hammer preload
Texan Long CF
They seem to fit the brech perfectly.
And they are avalible at most academy Sports
Thought I'd share.
They are .50 sabot rounds and measure .452" hard lead so do not expect expasion.
I'm looking to pass through bucks at 20 yards so I'm more than happy with the results.
Pretty happy something is avalible locally if needed.

I've shot NSA and Mr. Hollowpoint .452 and .454 slugs out of my Texan 457 with good accuracy for the last 2 years and got a nice young doe 2 years ago.

I roll my own .457 340 grain and am less than 3" at 35 yards standing just about every time.

I just casted some of these from my lee mold but it's a lead/zinc mix
Very hard.
They come out at .461" so I'm waiting for my die to come in.
They shoot about 2" groups at 35 yards
