Crosman 1400 help

I had the Mac 1 o'ring flat top piston in it but that cracked and crumbled into small pieces, so I will have to improvise something. Can anyone tell me the overall length of the piston assembly with the original pump cup? What I have is about eight inches long but that does not include the pump cup. The rod is adjustable so the measurement does not have to be precise. Thanks.

I've upgraded to a flat-top piston on mine as well, so I can't help you with the measurement, but why can't you just put another MAC1 piston on it?

I am working on a 1400 as well and just ordered the Mac 1 kit yesterday, I have my assembly all out with pump cup (solid as a rock BTW) still installed.
I am measuring 7 7/8". That is with the rod removed from the arm. Measured from end to end.

Did the Mac1 piston head break up? Or was it just the O’ring?

It was the plastic piston head.
