Not submitting for anything just reporting the Akela has potential at longer ranges than many would normally try. If this isn’t the right place admins can delete or move. I was just hoping to share what I’ve learned so far. I need a lot of work on the bench, it’s way different than 3p high power.
I bought this Akela last November with the hopes it would shoot slugs out to 150 yards.
I just bought an Arken SH4 GEN II 6-24X50, and tuned the hammer spring. Then went up and down with several slugs and speeds until I got the huge shot string and the Avg of 811/12/6 shown here.

Over The Weeknd I got it to hit any of my steel on the first shot and started in with my come ups and or hold overs. Then I moved the 134 yard plate to 150 yards and went 5/5 on that. So out came the paint, touched up the ram and the 150 plate. This afternoon I put 8/10 into 3” on the plate, put up paper and while it’s nothing to scream about it’s there.
Back to 100 for some scores in case todays a fluke. While they are not gonna win I’m pretty happy with 4 in 3/4 of an inch at 100 yards. Now to work on those pesky antisocial fliers.
Suffice it to say this will hold me until I save up for a redwolf hp and a nicer scope sometime in the next year or two.
I have steel from 10-150 yards with a kyl at 50 and other swingers at random ranges.
Behind the ram and paper at 100 is my 150 plate. The other way is the kyl and my shop.

Not many PCP's will not shoot good at extended ranges. Given a Good shooter and conditions.
I shoot out to 130 Yards now with the Evanix .30 and hit an 8" target easy since I've done it so many times.
I've never bothered to go for a tight group as of yet though.

I’ve got a plan so cunning you could put a tail on it and call it a weasel.

I'm impressed. I had plenty of trouble making NUAH at 100 with a .177. Now that it's cooled off some I need to get back after it with my .22 Cayden.
