I examined a pellet I found in the squirrel I killed yesterday. Nope, not the pellet that killed it. The kill shot went in the ribs and exited the shoulder on the opposite side. This pellet was in a hind leg just under the skin - no other visible damage to the squirrel. The pellet is a .25 caliber Diabolo and was relatively undamaged. I assume it is one of my pellets because I am the only one known to hunt there.
A while back I bought an FWB 124 from a fellow member that needed love.I cleaned it and the barrel was brown so I addressed that enough to be "presentable"...Well today I have a muzzle brake coming from "Spiralgoove" and wanted it all to look nice.Degresed the "brown" toned barrel with acetone, the gave it 3 blue coats of Brownells "oxpho-blue".. rubbing with 0000 steel wool between each coat. Followed up with oil and WOW!Back to semi FWB quality deep black!I think it is ready.
That came out really nice Scott 👌🏼
Cast some lead out of my new .457 slug mold.NOE 458-244-FN-CA4 that I bought 3 cavity.Followed the instructions to the letter and it paid off!80 slugs from reclaimed pellet trap lead.
