I have been after this guy for a couple weeks! He was pretty consistant with the times he showed himself, but he was fast, didn't sit still for long, and after a couple trips to the bait station would disappear until well after midnight.
With the time changing tonight, I figured this would be my last chance to get him during early evening hours. It would have been an hour later tomorrow! Well, persistance paid off. I was watching the Critter Cam and saw movement, so I got everything set-up and just waited. He finally got up the nerve to come out, but as you can see, he's very skittish! Fortunately, I was ready this time and nailed him with the LCS SK-19!

There is another one out there, but he shows up right near the fence and usually around midnight! It's going to take a bit more on my part to get that one!

Thank you Randall! Yep, I saw him on the camera this morning, he was at the fence around 11:00 last night, which means it will be midnight tonight! >:( I now need to figure out how to get him to show up in the mornings since it will now be dark longer...

This morning I checked the Trail Cam that's set-up on the feed station and it caught the action last night! It also confirmed my suspicions that I had another rat that needs to be shot!

It's as if this guy can't figure out why his buddy is speeping when there still good grub to be eaten! :P

Paul , You smacked him good ! I've put my rattin' on hold for a bit as it's slowed quite a bit & I decided to tune down the Kral NP-03 for bluebird protection at the nest box. The last trip to the barn only yielded two sightings ( along w/two misses ) and they were on a wooden beam above me ,so close I couldn't get the ATN scope focused ! I've been eyeing the Umarex NOTOS . I think a set up w/ a red dot would be a great back-up for my indoor activities , and the $ is right ( I've got an old Tasco Pro Point languishing in the cabinet ) .

The Notos would be perfect for that, if fact, you may want a slightly shorter hammer spring for it to detune it some, than it would be perfect for indoor work! Another one to look at is the Jet 1, it's less powerful, more compact and comes with some nice iron sights! Then can be fount for less than $200 and are available in .177, .22 or .25 incase you want to go larger or smaller pellet size!

I think so, this evening it seems to be attracting a small crowd! As Don always says, don't shoot the Tour Guide! I'm not sure which of these if the Tour Guide, but I hope two of them are a couple and start propreating more targets! Gestation period for these little critters is 10 days, so by the end of next week, there should already be some new targets getting weened off momma! ;D
