Yep, I like it too.. I saw it a month or so ago when it was still under construction and liked it then. Just need to do something with the backdrop on the main screen.. looks kinda Plain Jane.

I normally keep the ad blocker on with the Brave browser. With that on it just looked plain. I turned it off and the ads color it up alot... turned them back off.

Where have you guy put the items that were at the top left - UNREAD AND RECENTLY . . . or whatever they were?

I like the new look. Streamline and simple. Less graphics means faster loading. The new GTA font looks great! A much updated design.

Some of these comments are surprising, like the ones about it looking more boring. If anything it looks like the forum is inching closer to what modern websites look like. This forum is a bit of a relic to be frank. I think the changes are nice and I appreciate the increase in contrast.

Me likey ….On my MC forum at the top of the page are pics of members bikes….behind the ads….maybe some pics of members AG’s behind the ads…or a nice woodland scene….lol…I did have to adjust my brightest …..good luck

Regardless of the apparatus I would think text sizes could be adjusted in settings….on my ipad I use safari for GTA…u can adjust text size in the search box…..good luck

I have been using it a week now and at first the only thing I had issue with was the placement of the new posts links. Got over that fast and works out better being a right handed phone user.
I thought the colors would be hard on tired eyes but it's not. Looks much nicer now.

Go to your profile, click on look and layout, then where it says Current Theme, click change and choose CustomGTA2012, it will put it back looking like it was before.

You beat me to it. I was reading through this thread to post the forum profile way I dsicovered for reverting to the low contrast, warm brown tones that are easier on my eyes.

I have dark mode enabled on in my Chrome browser but it doesn't work here.

I prefer the GTA logo we had when I joined 8 years ago.
Beyond that I can't say I like the new look any less than I liked the previous looks, and it doesn't seem too different to me.
What I don't like is all the various airgun gates starting 18th down the list past a bunch of stuff I never visit.
Is there some kind of shortcut I'm unaware of that can skip past that other stuff ?

Other than all the neon green "NEW" deals after the posts and other neon green buttons I think it looks fine, a little blockier and different but whatever, loads reasonable on my internet that's a small step faster than the old days of dialup...

To be honest, I liked the look of the place before all the new ownerships made changes. I have a hat with the original logo and wear it proudly as tribute to the forum's founding fathers. That is the theme that was in place when I joined the forum in 2013. I don't know if there were any other themes prior to that.
For me a new scheme is like a paint job on an old car.. it's still the same old car under the new paint. The members are the gas and oil that fuel the forum.. the management are the mechanics that maintain it.

To give it a fair shake I used the new theme format for quite a while.
I decided I liked the old theme format better and switched back.
The old theme worked better for my eye issues and bifocal glasses.
Well THAT Was Short Lived.
I guess someone decided, later on, that there would be.... NO going back.
I'm not sure what to think of all this.

The shades have changed today along with the removal of the old way option. Less contrast today, a little warmer on my screen.
The bright neon green icons/tags stand out too much. Something warmer and less high contrast would be easier on my eyes. Maybe a grass green or some other muted (rather than neon) green would do better aesthetically.
I rarely and do not like reading airgunnstion for a few reason, high on the list being the look. Hopefully this aesthetic change is a work in progress. Not going anywhere, just saying.

Many times websites have to be updated to keep pace with changing code language, protocols, etc. I'm certain this forum change was not just for something different. I've noticed since the update that the forum is much faster.

New look is perfect, just like the one before, and the one before, and the one before.
Everything is easy to find, the color scheme is easy on the eyes, and above all, it is still the GTA.
Anybody complaining needs to look long and hard in the mirror and ask why.

Yeah, I don't think there was much, if any, programming or coding going on to make these visual changes. It's basically a color scheme and layout template change.
As for speed, that involves just cleaning things up... one would be amazed and the amount of attacks this forum has to fend off on a daily basis. When the trash can gets full it needs to be emptied for the kitchen run at full capacity again. We've experience slow downs in the past and measures had to be taken to get things going again. Those measures had nothing to do with restructuring of the forum.
I believe the admins will verify this.

This new look is beyond not worthy. And then to not allow members to change it back. Personally I can't stand this new look. It's very hard on my eyes and I don't appreciate all the little high lighted bullets. I probably won't be as active on here now since this wonderful new look happened. Sure wish Dez was still running the show.

No real complaints from me. Once into the body I don't see anything that's annoying to the point where I won't continue to use the forum.
Besides, I am here for the content not the cosmetics. But I agree in part, folks that used the dark screen should still have that as an option... I did not.

Yes, I looked in the mirror and said:
"Me, why does this change bother you so?"
And a perturbed me looked me right in the eye, and said:
"For starters, I am entitled to my opinion; number two-the colors are oversaturated and the background has a bright blue tint, which I find painful, number three-what's it to ya?.... Sounds like you need to take a step back, a deep breath-and ask yourself-why do you care, that I have an opinion on the subject?..."
However, I like the layout and faster loading, just a bit too bright... (Not so much on my phone, worse on my laptop...)
Wonder if the streamlining will make it a bit easier for pics to upload? THAT would be a plus!... :D
Regardless, I'll get used to it, if it blinds me ;) ;) ;)

THis what I found to get any website to dark mode but only tried it on EDGE browser >> edge://flags/#enable-force-dark << just copy paste for the options. It states it will work on mac, Linux, android

I tried to upload a picture today like I have done many times and it did not work. The image size says 2.9mb. Anyone else figuring out how to post pics?

I have not had that issue with the old or new unless my image was over the mb limit. There is also a post mb limit so if all your pics = too much it wont take.

My small Lumix camera takes the perfect size pictures for posting. Other than that I use Windows snipping tool. I can snip anything on my screen and it automatically resizes... no issues, ever.
Another way is to just e-mail the picture to yourself. They resize.
Lots of other ways but this is what I do and I've been doing it so long I don't even have to think about it anymore.

I can force it to flip to black with white lettering but that forces agn to flip too.
It's agn only at bedtime I suppose.

I'm on GTA alot and Betty Lou is good with that but if I took y'all to bed with us I'm pretty sure Betty Lou would go to the spare room.
