Can you answer few questions first?1) What distance are you currently shooting? 18 YARDS2) Are you using the open sights or a scope? 4x SCOPE3) Have you tried several different styles (wad, dome,hp,pointed) and weights of pellets to find a "good" one for that particular rifle? I HAVE TRIED ABOUT 10 DIFFERENT PELLETS4) Is the shot cycle harsh or boingy? HARSH & BOINGY5) Are you able/willing to take the rifle apart or do you want a turn-key adjustment only? I HAVE WORKED ON CROSMAN BREAK BARREL TRIGGERS BUT I HAVE NEVER TAKEN A MAIN SPRING OUT.
Reducing power can be as simple as removing a coil or two from the mainspring. I WOULD LIKE TO TAKE A COIL OR 2 OFF THE MAINSPRING BUT I HAVE NEVER REMOVED A MAINSPRING. WHERE DO I FIND A VIDEO AND DIRECTIONS?Possible reasons for inaccuracy are legion:1) Loose screws, damaged breech/piston seals, trashed scope... SCREWS ARE TIGHT. SCOPE SEEMS TO BE OK.2) Barrel: dirty or rough bore. Try slugging a squeaky-clean bore with tight fitting pells. Feel for rough/loose spots and burrs at the crown. Rough barrels can often be saved by recrowning and lapping.Alternately, a light tune can be effected with a dimensionally similar mainspring carrying less coils. Avail from aftermarket sources. WHO SELLS A LIGHTER MAINSPRING?
I'm shooting springers better, but not great, after more than a year of learning and many thousands of pellets of shooting practice. EVERY time I pick up one of them I haven't shot in a few weeks, I have to re-learn what particular hold that particular rifle likes AND look through my notes on which pellet shot best. What a pain! Not really sure WHY I still like springers when my PCPs are SO EASY to shoot with LASER like accuracy.WHY springers are so hard to shoot well: https://www.gatewaytoairguns.org/GTA/index.php?topic=153891.msg155695724#msg155695724There are a few things you can do to the Daisy 1101 that will make it shoot "smoother", maybe reduce the recoil a bit, and possibly even help improve the rifles accuracy. The GTA members, Google, and Youtube will provide tons of useful info. I don't think that will fix the basic problem. By your own admission springers may not be a good fit for you.You have pumpers and PCPs that are fun and easy to shoot accurately. It might be better to stick with those and leave the springers for folks that WANT to tinker and struggle with that evil toy from h-e-double-el known as a springer. Tearing apart and modifying magnum springers is an investment in tools, time, and effort that may NOT bring you the results you want.If you like to tinker more than shoot, go for it!If your goal is to SHOOT and tinkering is just a evil side task, I have a controversial suggestion.Buy a YOUTH model springer, like the Hatsan Alpha, Diana 240, or similar. Shoot it A LOT for several days using the open sights. The easy cocking, buttery smooth shot cycle, and non-existent recoil should be a pleasant surprise and you will be shooting at your best level. If you DO get the accuracy you want and are willing to invest the time and energy modifying and practicing with magnum springers, then forge ahead. If you still cannot get acceptable accuracy, return the youth rifle for refund or gift it to a worthy young relative.Next... here is the really controversial part... sell all your springers because they are never going to provide the accuracy you want. Take that money and use it to enhance your pumper/PCP shooting fun. New rifle, more pellets, PCP accessories, whatever you need.I like springers, but I also understand why other people don't like them. The nice part is you still have the freedom to choose what YOU want.Best wishes regardless of which path you decide to take
Know any local airgunners who could maybe help you sort-out any problems?Shooting a powerful springer is much like archery; relaxed, consistent grip and follow through count for alot. Hate to see u throw in the towel on it.Firm to the shoulder and loose out front seems to work for me

Hate to see u throw in the towel on it.Firm to the shoulder and loose out front seems to work for meI WILL TRY THAT!I have tried several different holds on several different break barrels,Sometimes I will get a small group, then later it is a big group at another location. The 2 Browning Leverages shoot small groups consistently.
