I have read that the 5x8x2.5 RC bearing that works in the Gamo also works in the Crosman. I don't have a Crosman NP....yet, but am looking to possibly get one. I can vouch that the bearing did a fantastic job in the Gamo Big Cat. Much smoother and lighter for $2 and about an hours total time.
Bottom line is, unless you really know what you are doing, stay away from jerry rigging triggers. The money you spend on a CDT trigger isn't just for the attractive finish, full adjustability, or improved geometry. You are also buying peace of mind and confidence.
Of all of the "fixes", would you say that the 3mm x 10mm screw would be the safest?

The triggers can be "safely" modded and I agree 100% with the above statement, and would apply it to ANY modification(s) of an Air Rifle. Don't know what you're doing? DON'T do it!
So, when I do get the CDT GRT-III, only a Professional Air-Gun Smith should do the install right? Fortunately, I know of one that lives only 2-hours away from me.I've decided that I will not remove the 3mm x 5mm screw and replace it with a 3mm x 10mm screw for now, but will instead save up to get the CDT GRT-III, Gene's Washer and Bushing Kit, 4-hour road trip money and fees to the Air-Gun Smith for installing the CDT GRT-III Trigger and Gene's Kit/s.

Most people have no problem. There are some "gotcha's" but there is extensive information on the CDT website for dealing with these rare instances. http://charliedatuna.com/GRT-III%20Trigger%20New.htmUnfortunately, Gene is out of the bushing/washer business. Visit his website "Gene's Toys" and you'll see. He still runs Bob's trigger business. http://www.airguntoys.com/Jon
Why waste time and energy and create a possible safety risk when the CDT triggers are the end all beat all?Richard
