TFB, we are left handed folks living in a world full of mostly right handed stuff. I only own 1 gun that is specifically for left handed shooters. It can be a pain because I can shoot either way if the need arises. But not with that gun. The way stock is designed it's terribly uncomfortable to attempt to shoot right handed. On all of my powder guns, the actions are made for right handed shooters. Adapting and over coming makes you better all around.Richard
TFB: Sometimes, we just keep asking till we hear the answer we want to hear? Your first post had many specifics and folks gave you some great suggestions. The good people here aren't dripping in gold or lucky enough to have some endless airgun fund buried in their backyard, and nearly all of them started out with "junk" guns, therefore, they are trying to steer you away from that 1st "throw-away" $120 purchase that you will regret and that will likely turn you off from airguns. And yes, most responding to you are "pros" because, they learned many things the hard way and the smartest amongst us, knew when to take sound advice from others.Regradless of the brand/model suggestions made here, that is what the majority of these guys are saying to you, don't waste money and make yourself crazy and yes, for the "$400-500" YOU posted as a budget, there are a dozen rifles that are indeed, do-it-all guns. Good luck in your decision.
This is one of the issues I have with airguns. The spec sheets for a lot of the rifles just aren't accurate. [...] an airgun database would be great.

Yes, on the first. As to the second, it's called "GTA". The airgun world is really not big enough to support its own Consumer Report, but you can search up any model here and get the real-world skinny on it, including chrony results.I think you have enough replies to boil it down to 3 or 4 guns, search 'em up, and click The Button. You can always sell or trade it for the next one.NOTHING that says 1000 fps on the box can be taken seriously and it doesn't even matter anyway. Move past velocity. It will make you almost Einsteinian.
