I have to agree, trying to better YOUR OWN previous best is what NUAH Monthly Matches is all about, IMO.... That is the reason cheating is just not something to worry about!....

During the 18 months or so when I participated nearly every month, I never got the sense that anyone was dishonest on their monthly submissions.  Yes, it would be easy to shoot this target at 60, 70 yards, etc. and claim you shot at 100y; but the folks who were regulars at the time were honest and did this for fun.  I expect this is true now as well for the reason Bob mentioned.  There was great comraderie and spirit with our virtual competitors.  I stopped only because the monthly participation dropped off significantly and there were only a handful submitting cards.  I love NUAH and always will, and if I could ever get my fairly new Paradigm .30 back from AoA and shooting better,  I may try again.  Bob does a great job!

This is a hunch on my part, but I think having regular easy access to a 100y range limits the monthly participation. That said, it’s a great challenge.  Still chasing that 50/50 5X FASTJ. 😀

I hate my self because sold that 800mm Impact. Develop that a full year and when it was perfect decided move on. Then started over with two Panthers.. They are close but still need work.. Winter is here. So no 100yd shooting a long while..

Are you shooting most of your 100y NUAH targets with slugs or pellets? I am reasonably convinced ( for me anyway), that getting MOA accuracy with pellets ( “consistently and for score,  and not groups at 100 yards”), isn’t possible.   Too many adverse variables in play. Wind deflection, pellets too light, destabilization, poor quality, shooter error, etc.

I think I have seen some of your past groups or targets with .22 40g slugs, and they have been excellent. None of my 100y Benchrest guns shoot slugs.  Ie., RAW HM1000x .22, FX Boss .30.  The Paradigm .30 does shoot them, but the FX Hybrid 44g did poorly for me. I need to try other slug brands and weights with the EVOL Paradigm.

Shooted only pellets couple years ago. Jsb Rd was killer. In that time tryed a lot different slugs also. But nothing worked until found altaros slugs. Its no going back pellets after those.
Both cab be shoot sub moa in perfect weather. But when get some gustu winds what are really hard predict. Rd can be 5in left where ATP is line half in left. Also if some day can build 2-300yd range slugs will be superior.
