Thanks Dave,
This is kind a hybrid project, fitting savage .457 upper on the old 20mm frame.
Had the barrel with and adapter on the frame some time ago and it was interesting.
Upper block ready.
Fits ok, now need to make some modifications to the barrel. Going to have locking lugs on the barrel and bolt.

Thanks Rob,
Got to test the rifle and shoots ok, 134mm 10 shot group at 200m from bipod and no back rest.
384gr soft point goes 276m/s at 220bar and 304m/s at 300bar so I'm ok with that.
Need to do something about the recoil, slightly too much bounce from the hammer.

Fantastic stuff! The craftsmanship looks outstanding as usual. That is a beast for sure but also looks cool.

Thanks Dave,
Finally got some time to do recoil management, and a barrel band.
Made the rifle much pleasant to shoot. Also made a hammer spring catch so it wont bounce as much.

Hammer is around 80g
Balanced valve, just a bit on the large side.

Well not exactly, just my take on the L2 frame.
Didn't like the low scope rail and have a bad neck. So need risers and medium rings.
Now can use just rings without the risers.
Also adapted a Tikka front guard for longer barrel use.
Oh yeah trigger group is a 3D printed prototype for testing different trigger geometry to get a lighter trigger on higher plenum pressure.

Thanks Rob,
Made a new trigger blade out of carbon, turned out ok.
Have some other changes to the gun too.
Returned the original rear to the leshiy 2 and needed something for this one.
So made some parts.
Valve is slightly modified, without restriction that the .22 leshy valves have. It's making 101J at 180bar now.
