Newbie Scope Question

I just bought a Norica Dragon GRS Evolution for myself. This is my first rifle of any kind being that I'm usually a wingshooter and have only ever used a Shotgun. I bought a CV Life 3-9x40 scope to put on it. The scope came with rings but they don't fit on the rail on this rifle. Can anyone tell me what type of rings I need to get to use this scope/rifle combo?

From what I can tell the CV Life 3-9x40 scope is supplied with Weaver /Picatinny rail mount rings.
Your Norico airgun and most others use a 3/8" (11mm) dove tail mount.
You could either buy a new set of rings to fit your scope to your gun... or UTG makes some adapaters.

There are generally two forms of scope rail in common manufacturer: the Weaver/Picatinny rail and the 11mm or 3/8" dovetail. I suspect that you have an 11mm/3/8 rail. The Picatinny is common on center-fire rifles and is charactized by lateral or transverse slots in the rail, which is about 3/4" wide. The Picatinny has the advantage of a "stop" mechanism built in via the slots, which receive the clamp bolts and restrain against longitudinal movement.

A mount like this should work fro a 1" scope tup if it is a full to medium size scope.

Hello eazye,
first of all I work for Norica. I often check comments related to our brand in GTA.
Other than the 11mm rail width well stated by other members, be sure to use a good air rifle rated scope and a good one piece mount on the Norica Dragon GRS Evolution. Gas Rams are scope destroyers.
To Hoosier Daddy: We are not Norico or Norinco or Norconia neither have any relationship with them, they just got inspired by our name...who knows why...
Merry Christmas and happy new year to all GTA members!
