Title: UMAREX READYAIR Compressor
Post by: whtsmoke on January 09, 2021, 05:38:19 PM
I got my Readyair compressor, it was packaged so no damage would occur, unboxed it and attached everything the way they said to without any problems it was very straight forward.
It came with the recommended default settings installed except for the amount of air which I set at 3000.
First fill on a empty tank on my Gauntlet from zero to 300psi took eight minutes, i forgot to cock the rifle so I had to refill it again and it only took 6 minutes this time. Topped my Kratos off from around 1900 to 3000 and it took only 4 minutes and the cooling fan never kicked on. The fan stayed on for several minutes when filling the gauntlet but shut down when cool. The piston housing never got hot enough that you couldn't grab ahold of it, fan does it's job. My only gripe is I wish the hose was longer and maybe a right angle connector. Haven't tried it on DC yet just house current. Happy with the result, very well made machine.

Yeah, I've seen that review but it didn't tell me if I could or could not fill a 90 cu. in. carbon fiber tank. I think probably not but if you could I would probably get it. ;)

Sorry I was going to answer earlier but got tied up, the manual states
that it is made to fill PCP'a with a tank size no larger than 32 cubic inches, which would be .524 liters.

OH OH !!!!

I was looking over my Katran when I spotted metal shavings between the barrel and air tube...looked like teeny weenie gray hairs LOL...SO i checked my Avenger which I filled to 3600 psi just before I tried to fill my Katran....more shavings...same goes for the DAR but not near as many metal shavings...(very small)
.
Gentleman my Ready Air is getting ready to take a major dump. I also checked my hand written time log that I started a year ago and fill times have been slowly INCREASING over time...from 3 min to 8-9 min until it took 42 minutes to fill the Katran to 200 bar this morning.
Now I have to clean 3 rifles tomorrow while the squirrels are playing in my back yard. LOL.
Been reading a thread and I may purchase one of those disposable Amazon compressors. LOL

I am assuming you do not use a filter on your system ? Seems strange where you are seeing the shavings, sure it is not lead dust of a coarser nature  ???
Not saying your compressor is not on its way out.
