The postwith the pole about POI shifts from one time to the next got me thinking...
This is kinda weird.
I've got this Chinese Sure Shot B3-F underlever (currently with a BSA 4x32AO air rifle scope) that until the weekend before last hadn't been shot in several months. I took it outside and the first shot was on the money. Offhand. I couldn't believe it. And it stayed on the money until I began to get tired of holding it and began to tremble a bit. Maybe it's because it's my first springer and I've had the most trigger time with it.
Or maybe it's magical.....
I bought in late 2001 for $35 at a local flea market (I didn't know about springers at the time or I might have passed it by). I've slicked up the cocking linkage a bit (it has the cool articulated linkage unlike most other B3 underlevers I've seen) and I've modded the stock, but I've never opened it up to check it's innards. It may still have it's original Chinese grease inside it (with all the chee and other mystical stuff mixed in). You can see daylight through the seam in the bottom of the reciever tube when you open the breach to load it and the scope grooves were milled off center to the left a bit. I had to fix a bad case of droop when I first scoped it too. It seems like it would be a total piece of junk, but it has been an accurate, easy shooting rifle. One of the best $35 deals I've ever made.
