I think a stock .22 D34 is hotter than that.

My D48 is 23fpe on the nose. I might be wrong, but I think a 460’s powerplant is the same

For example, IIRC, their data shows the RWS 48 being more powerful/faster than the RWS 460. Which is contrary to what the manufacturers says.I do care to "go through more of it", and looked at your examples:RWS 34: http://www.straightshooters.com/rws-model-34-.22-beech.html#product-tabs-ourtakeRWS 460: http://www.straightshooters.com/rws-model-460-.177-beech-w-scope.html#product-tabs-ourtakeIn summary, the model 34 in .177 averages 12 to 13 ft.lb, with a high of 14 and a low of 8; depending on type and weight pellets used. The equivalent numbers in .22 were 11 to 12 ft.lb with a high of 14 and a low of 10The model 460 averages 15 to 16 ft.lb, with a high and low of 17 and a low of 10 in .177. In .22, it averages 20 to 21 ft.lb. with a high of 22 and a low of 17.I don't see any evidence there to support your statement that SS data is "backwards" or false. If you hold that contention, then prove it. Now, if you are going to badmouth a data source, or the bearer of said data (me), then you need to offer more than the plausible deniability of your fallible memory. Especially when you suggest I made up a scenario in my head for some sort of nefarious purpose. For the record, I was trying to find a reason why a .22 HW 50 might not be a bad idea over the .177; and performance at 50 yards seemed like that to me. So, by crapping on my attempt at being less biased, you have actually supported my original narrow minded point of view. Thanks for that.

You are right Harpoon; I am illiterate:http://www.straightshooters.com/rws-model-48-.177-beech.html#product-tabs-ourtakehttp://www.straightshooters.com/rws-model-460-.177-beech-w-scope.html#product-tabs-ourtake
