Gamo Hornet Maxxim .22

Hi all.
Started with a Benjamin maybe 4 months ago. Quickly added a QB78 to the fold, followed by a great little Daisy 880.
On a whim, i grabbed a Gamo Hornet Maxxim in .22. I'm an almost instant convert!
The scope is really nice for included glass. I have no nice scopes, but this "free" scope is up there with $30 Barskas. Probably a bit nicer TBH. There is a riser mounted to the rifle and a one-piece mounted to the scope. The scope was optically zeroed from the factory and needed maybe 16 clicks right to hit center.
The stock has a nice texture to it. A bit of flashing from the factory, but no complaints.
Hardware is mostlyTorx with a few Allen heads. The trigger is adjusted with a small Allen key (1st stage) and a Phillips screw (2nd stage).
The barrel is fully shrouded. It isn't silent, but is very backyard friendly. At 48 yards, against a cement block, a crosman hollow point is completely flattened. I can't measure FPE or FPS, but this rifle clearly has power.
Still dialing in and breaking in, but i just finished dropping 3 pellets inside 1" at 48 yards. At 10 yards, it will bury them in one hole.
The trigger is adjustable. Very nice for a stock trigger.

I like mine, good gun, great balance, decent trigger, good workmanship, quality, just a good reliable gun, 22’s shoot in the high 600’s, not the advertised fps (as advertised) But a good shooter, fun and predictable, a keeper.

The biggest thing with it is that it's nice out of the box. No mods or tweaks needed.
