Title: Back from Kalamazoo with a 1920s BSA Standard
Post by: 45flint on August 20, 2017, 09:27:12 PM
Pretty big show, my original post seemed to fly off to somewhere?  Came home with this, the one on the left lol.  Not too long it will be a 100 years old.  Still shoots like a champ.

Sweet! Something you don't see everyday, especially in that good of a condition.

It was a much better show last year I thought, not as many vendors this year I didn't think.

The organizers mentioned that 'several' table-holders simply did not show up, with no explanation - could always be emergencies but kind of strange not to contact anyone.  I had a great time anyway and there was a lot of action most of the day.

I wonder if some were on there way to get in the position to see the total eclipse today.  Lots of people traveling to witness it.

Another highlight for me. Drove by the old Gibson Guitar Factory. This place made five guitars for the Beatles and two for me!!  Now in Nashville.

Shooting this morning.  Hitting at 568 fps in 22 and hole in hole accuracy.  Best open sights I have experienced, very easy on old eyes. These were and still are great rifles.

Nice find.
Last year was my first visit to the show. The number and variety of airguns was amazing.
I was one of the table holders that had something come up and couldn't attend this time.
NEXT YEAR!

My brother's a Gibson guitarist here in Australia since the early 70's and loves them, I'll show him your post, thanks for taking that pic.
