I have older COMETA guns and some newer ones to compare it too, I only have 1 of my older 400'star compacts left in my collection, and it's about 15yrs old, and a 220c I've for about the same amount of time, these guns have served me well! and have been quite happy with them!

Scopes And Optics Gate / Re: Vortex 4-12x40 A/O« Last post by Ike the GSD on Today at 09:52:26 AM »Vortex brand is my favorite brand of scope. I have quite a few of them on my PBers and I have several on a few of my PCP's. I never tried one on a springer so I can't say that I know for a fact that they'd survive. I love the quality of Vortex scopes. I've always found the clarity and operation of them to be simply outstandng. I have a couple of the exact scope you are looking at and I love them. Thanks for the feedback Jeff, man when I looked through one at Sportsman's Warehouse it just blew me away. 5

Bargain Gate / Re: How to get a discount on PARD Scopes!« Last post by Rat Sniper (AKA: PaulT58) on Today at 09:47:33 AM »is your first one a 50 or 70mm ? 70mm, based on my experience with the ATN scopes I went with the higher magnification. I don't have to zoom with the 70mm so video resolution as well as resolution on the internal screen is much crisper and clearer. 7
Air Gun Gate / Re: The New North Range (pic heavy)« Last post by avator on Today at 09:44:56 AM »Very nice setup Bill! I might even be a little envious.... aww heII.. I am enviousNo worries on the pan... it was a second hand store purchase and she has a whole set of them. I also have an almost complete copper coated set of pans as targets. That set was replace with a complete set of granite stone that she wanted. This was stuff we had in the kitchen in the bar before the bar sold. It all rings really well when hit with pellets. BTW... I have 2 or 3 more cast iron pans in the shop that aren't being used... yet. Those are saved for cooking on the campfire grill. 8

I'm also impressed they are now making their own high-quality springs. Most manufacturers are driven by cost/profit over proper engineering The Tinbum springs look like proper engineering FIRST over cost/profit. Well done! 10
Back Room / Re: Good morning! Are you up yet? What's your plans for today?« Last post by avator on Today at 09:29:42 AM »Morning..
As typical after any project I do around here, I have a mess in the shop to clean up. The North Range shootin' shack/deck project is no different. I usually wait for rainy days to do a thorough clean and organize but but long term weather reports don't call for any significant rain expected for at least the next 10 days. The main shooting bench has moved from inside the Red Shed to the South Range (which is now all but dismantled) to the North Range shooting deck so I need to decide if I want to remove that indoor shooting bench to make the shop more functional as a shop. Most likely I'll take a couple days to just ponder and plan the best way to organize and change the layout. But, on the bright side, I got all the time in the World. |
