Hatsan currently has an old-school coil spring version for $129 on their refurb page:https://hatsanairgunsusa.com/product/_refurbished-mod-125-spring/I have one with the "sniper" stock with a cheek riser and find it as accurate as I can aim. It is a heavy gun, but sleeker and a little lighter than the Mod 130/135 behemoths. You may want a scope for it as the refurbs don't come with them, in the end costing as much as your Amazon Combo deal, but you can get a better scope. I also like the Williams peep sight on springers if I'm shooting 25 yards or less. Peeps don't mind recoil.Thay also have a closeout Mod 87 Vortex QE for $115., with scope; I find that and the Mod 95 to be smaller, lighter, and still powerful out as far as I can shoot accurately.https://hatsanairgunsusa.com/product/mod-87-vortex-quietenergy/Expect to have the usual work on Hatsan springers: Loctite the stock screws, adjust the barrel pivot bolt as it wears in, bend the barrel to line it up better with the sights or scope, maybe some spring tuning if you really want to get into it. Or you might get one that was actually refurbished and shoots well out of the box.
I have a factory refurb in .25, as well as a lightly used non-refurb (also in .25) which i believe is stock. Both standard stocks, both coil spring. The refurb is very powerful and from limited shooting at 25 yards, surprisingly accurate. At least when I try. It is not ridiculous to cock, but no one would want to shoot one for an extended period of time.Shot the 2nd one for the first time tonight, just a few shots over the chronograph. Even more powerful, yet not "a beast" in terms of shot cycle. Big numbers - 860 fps with 20 grain FTT's, 640 with 34 grain JSB's. I'm gonna need a good, stout scope for it because I really want to see how it shoots.
I kind of backed off of buying one when I started seeing a lot of complaints about the triggers breaking?
I think the good Captain has this surrounded.Though I prefer the standard stock, and the weight savings vs the sniper version is a nice bonus.
