well if you have 10 yards of protected area and an A/O scope that focuses to 10-15 yards...you can zero for 30 yards at 10 yards... if you have a good estimate of B.C. and velocity... and have Chairgun or a good ballistics program/app...
I’ve had to re-zero a rifle in the field more than once. The trick is to try and orient your shots either dead up wind or down. It will have minimal effect on elevation.
If I had to wait for the wind to stop to zero my guns I would never zero them
