Decent 4 x 16 AO Scope

What up guys and gals... I looking for a good quality scope 4 x 16 AO for my flashpup .25 (which by the way is an awesome rifle! Dime size groups at 50yds w/ JSB king 25.39gr) I had the Pinty 4 x 16 and it was a POS. The eye relief was awful, and what really did it in was the AO. At 50yrds(confirmed 50 by pace counting and range finder) I had to dial it to 75yrds to get a clear image, and my POI would change from clear sight to true range. I wasn't to happy with it despite having heard of it from this forum and the good reviews... I love my UTG 3 x 9 on my Prod but have seen mixed reviews on the 4 x 16 UTG. Please help! Keep it reasonable... i would love to be one of you guys who are fortunate to be able to have the 400+ dollar scopes, but I'm in the 100 (maybe a little more) range. Once again thanks for all your input and I truly value your guys thoughts!

It is normal for the range markings on the wheel to not be calibrated. If you were able to dial up a clear image, it is working fine. When we shoot field target all our scopes dials are covered with tape and marked the way we need them to be marked.

Shooting is not about theory, it's about practice.

Jeff,
I got the UTG 4-16X in a package deal with a Terrus Walther, along with the Leaper's one-piece mount. I found it hard to find the target quickly because of Field of View--which the UTG has little of compared to the size of the scope. The weight of the scope and the bulk make it difficult to enjoy shooting fast and accurately.
Others have regards for this scope with good reason--I find particular brand scopes seem clearer than others. For me Leupold, Burris, Swarovsky, and Weaver always fit the bill with or without parallax adjustments. The optics are critical for light transmission and the diameter of the exit pupil to see the target and see it quickly clearly without having to fiddle with AO if you can get away with it.
I recently bought a Beeman 4x 32mm for 20 dollars and IT has brighter optics than my UTG Goliath scope!

UTG/Leapers quality is far too bad in their optics to be much use after the 4x. Extremely poor optics. they make somewhat fair rings, but I would look elsewhere if you value a clear, sharp image with good resolution scope with decent light gathering.
some Hawke models, sadly, very overpriced for what you get in quality. Athlon, Burris, Discovery, Aztec, Lupy, Some Bushnell models, Lower end Zeiss are very good for the money. Nikon, come to mind.
I use Swarovski, Zeiss, (German and USA made versions), and enjoy Athos by Athlon, and my Kalas, which is a Swarovski product. I miss a good Schmidt & Bender. GRRRR!

For hunting in the woods I'm very happy with my 4-16X44 compact tactical scope, I've never purchased a high end scope personally but if I ever get into target shooting I might.
I have it sighted in for 40 yards with this rifle which is where I've been sighting in most of my rifles. It's an ideal distance for the area's that I hunt.
