I've seen pics, but I don't think anyone has specified what the different length is. Half inch to an inch, I think from the pics.It 'pears that my Stanlley Fat Max 25' tape measure is telling me that the 1977 arm is 1/2" longer than the 880 arm. That's not 'zactly down to the .0001", but it's close. That's measured from the center of the pivot pin to the handle end of the arm.Sounds right. A 880 pump arm ...'could'.. be swapped out w/ the 1977. Most of us remove the retaining pin anyway, so a slightly shorter pump arm wouldn't be too much of a detriment.

Difference goes beyond the arm length....Pump link from arm to pump rod is different length, I believe, as the stroke length is longer...I'll give it a look-see tomorrow, but I don't think a straight swap would work quite right.........
I have been thinking " might be dangerous " SWMBO 's cousins own small brass/aluminum foundry a block away from our house, one of theses days I may wander over there with an 880 plastic pump arm and see if they would be willing to make a run of them in aluminum, had them do a boomerang in AL 30 years ago, if there is enough interest for the number to make to get it done, it could happen.
