Dont know if its the same issue but I too had to swap out scopes due to the objective shift. I placed it on bags and didn't touch the gun but moved my head around and the reticle moved all over the place at 10y. I got a new scope and I have to power it all the way down to x3 to get the reticle to stay in one place. I've never shot a scope at 10y before airguns so I am sure there are a lot of us that could use an education on powerful scopes at close range.

You're having a parallax issue.https://rifle-scope-guide.com/understanding-parallax-in-rifle-scopes/
Thanks Rob but I referring to the OP and I using a scope and having it move all over the place due to, as you provided the link: "where the focal plane of the object in the scope is offset from the reticle". His issue looks stunning similar to the issue you quote below.
Thanks guys, I also thought it could be parallax but I don't notice any movement and the scope adjusts from infinity to 30 ft which I have it on. Also the stock scope gave the same results. If I recall correctly the Iron sights were pretty similar too.Dogstar's post makes me concerned I've got a dud gun :-( Would be ok if I was in USA as I'd just get another from Walmart for peanuts, but here in Australia the gun costs $260 and you have to go through the whole registration process :-(I've got a few more scopes for my centre fires that I'll try out and will try iron sights again as a control.
Btw, shooting on 1 or 2 pumps was a hoot .... squeeze the trigger... bang..wait for it... pop !
