I ordered mine by phone, but about 2 years ago..
when you order the 853's from CMP, order a couple tins of pellets. They are the "Merlin Match Plus" wadcutter made by Vogel USA - Olympic quality pellets that costs less than $8.00 per tin of 500. I purchase a full sleeve of 10 tins (5000 pellets) for $73.50. You will not be disappointed.
Good advice. Please post a link or tell me where to find these pellets on the CMP website. This is for 10 tins;https://estore.thecmp.org/Catalog/Item/409Can we just buy 2 or 3 tins?
I mostly use the target sights, but I’d like a scope like that CVLife one you have, does it give you a clear picture at 10 yards?
Thanks Johnny, Maybe I’ll pick up one of those scopes for my 853.As far as fps goes, it’s not talked about much with these low powered target rifles but I read the Pyramid Air blog posts on the 853, and Tom found his wouldn’t reach the factory claims of 510fps either. And that’s even after he replaced some seals. He seemed to come to the conclusion that few if any used 853s will shoot >500fps, based on his followers input. He also mentioned that some do a modification that will increase power. I think it involves putting washers in the compression tube to increase pressure when cocked.I must have gotten a real gem, mine shoots JSB 7.33s at 508-522fps.

What a fly swatter it was and so many shots regulated with Altaros. I HATED the ergonomics.Just put a shroud on the Daisy, not difficult mechanically, but the SSP has a 'snap' that's hard to get rid of.

That is the adjustment for reticle sharpness.
