They're very handy when going fishing. Picture me w/ a slung lightweight air rifle, tackle box in my right hand and 2 fishing rods in my left hand and you'll have a good idea what I look like when I go fishing. And, there will likely be at least 1 CO2 bb pistol in the tackle box too. You need a cart or dolly! I've given the sling studs some thought. The front stud... should we drill into the pump handle, especially where it is experiencing the most stress (at the hinge)? The rear stud... The stock is hollow, so not much material to grab on to. Maybe pour some epoxy into the bottom of the stock to beef it up? EDIT: maybe epoxy more material onto the pump arm and drill into that?I am old school, would love to shoot with hasty or loop sling. Bipods be darned!

I tried getting the front sight off, but it was pretty tightly locked in, and I didn't want to risk damaging it.
That 4x15 scope is junk. This gun deserves better. I have a Leaper 4x32 scopd with AO on mind. Don't waste youd time shooting without the front open site mounted. The barrel clangs around without anything to stabilize it. Mines got over 3000 pellets through it and needs some work now. For $34-$40 the 880 is hard to beat.
Thanks for the tips, everyone! I kinda like having irons for backup. When I have something new to report, I will update.
Geo has an LDC with the front sight blade incorporated.

Anybody having problems with getting their knuckles beat up when pumping up gun?
Made a couple of adjustments today. 1) rotated the objective lens on my 4x15 as far forward as I could, which improved focus at my short range. 2) removed one layer of electrical tape from my barrel (now it is 2 wraps). Now, I am getting the ragged holes I was expecting!I just got some Predator GTO lead free pellets, they shot as well as the H&N Baracuda Green I've been using. The last group from kneeling position; I am pleased with how I did! It was 10 shots into one big hole with one pellet to the side. All in all a good session with the 880. I would like to add a sling to see if I can tighten up my groups.
