Landed my first shark off the kayak!

And 3 of his friends. This was from the tuesday before last. Had a great trip. Got out for about 5 hours and was almost non stop action on one rod or the other. I was drifting cut mullet and live pinfish. The cut mullet really got the attention of most of the fish. Got a nice grouper just short of legal on the 10 lb trout rod. Thought i had a big trout or keeper redfish but turned out to be a 21 in grouper. I need to get out again. Will hopefully get out on monday. Hope you enjoy the video.

Thanks bro. Yeap was a great day. The sting ray was a good fight. Just gave him the hook. I dont like messing with their tails on land much less a kayak.

A Great Day of Fishing & A Good Way to Fish
I haven't fished in the ocean since 1964 but I fish in the lakes up here all the time. Right after I was discharged from the army I traveled by canoe, Northern Manitoba and North West Territories alone, from ice out to ice up. I spent quite a bit of time with the High Rock Cree (High Rock Lake Manitoba ). I'm glad you had such a good time. My dad was a Marine. Best Wishes - Tom Wood

That looks like a whole lot of fun.
I go shark fishing every other weekend but we fish off the surf. We yak the bait out and have a blast. BTW we release all the sharks we catch.

Great adventure in the Yak. I also do Yak fishing for large mouth, crappie, and brem in the freshwater lakes of North GA. Nothing more relaxing..

Thanks all.
Yeah man its njce to get out on the kayak and just cruze or drift. I added another layer of padding under the seat and man what a difference another inch of foam padding makes. The sharks were fun and will eventually get bigger as i get more skill with them.
