OK I also ordered one of these compressors and went through EBay's policy for refunds for our issue with the seller.1 - On Sept 5th I sent the seller a request for a refund as there was no way that the compressor would fit into an EPacket2 - After the required 5 day wait for the seller to respond (which we all knew that was not going to happen) I asked E Bay to step in. Now they sent the seller a message and again E Bay and I had to wait 5 days to see if the seller would reply.3 - after that 5 day wait I contacted E Bay again and was told I would need to wait another 2 days and to call E Bay back then.4 - OK I was getting a bit upset but I was at the mercy of EBay so I decided to call PayPal to explain the situation and ask them for a refund. I was told that since I opened the complaint with E Bay I had to go through them 1st till they finished their process.5 - I waited a couple of days and on Thurs. Sept 14th I called EBay once again and once again I got a reply that I had to wait 2 more days6 - So on the Sat the16th I called E Bay again and was told the claim could be settled and closed the next day7 - Sept. 18th I called E Bay again as I forgot to call on the 17th and this time I was told the claim would be closed and I would have a refund within 24 hours to the Credit Card that was used in my PayPal account 8 - I checked my Credit Card info on Sept 18th at 7 PM and my $200 Credit had been applied at 5:09 PMI totally understand that E Bay has to protect the seller as well as the buyer so they do need to be fair to both. The 1st two process after I asked the seller for a refund took 10 days, 5 for me and 5 for EBay to wait to see if the seller would respond. In my opinion this was totally acceptable as it gives the buyer and E Bay each a fair 5 day wait for the seller to respond. The difficult part is as being the buyer and knowing this is a fraud it seems like a waste time. All in all a 13 day wait, which could have been 10 or 12 if I had contacted E Bay a little sooner between steps is not all that bad.Norm
I have complete faith in e-bay and paypal.i had one bogus deal in 17 years and I got my money back very fast...
Sending back the "coin" that they sent you would cost $50? Or did I miss something?
