312 Valve Body W/Bad Solder Inside Pump Tube

It's frustrating when you know you've done everything right in a rebuild (at least a dozen by now) and it still will not hold air. Polished the pump tube and inlet and outlet valve seats. Washed and blew it spotless inside and out. All new valves, pump cup and nylon washers. Disassembled and reassembled four times (new washers each time) and still could hear air leaking through with each pump. After the last valve assembly, I put a little bit of soapy water on top the valve on the trigger end and pumped it. Between the valve body and the pump tube was a complete ring of very small bubbles. I believe that it can be sealed from the pump end of the body but I don't know what to use. Has anyone found a solution to this problem?

I purchased the kit from ebay about 18 months ago, I like it because it comes with 2 lead seals, when seated and tightened they fill any small surface defects on the valve face/surface. When tightening the seals. Also you will want to go a quarter to a half turn past what you think is tight, that should set and assure proper sealing has occurred. My 312 does not leak, holds air forever and works flawlessly with this kit and the lead seals.

This kit is another I would have no fear in using, I have purchased other kits from them and they are great to use.
Baker Airgun Kit:

There is also Rick at Precision Pellets or Mike Baker, both may have seals and better advise than I can provide.

Try to tighten the nut. Stick your valve tool in a vise and turn the gun. Tighten as tight as you can by hand, see if that helps. If it is the valve body to tube leaking I have not seen that issue before. To repair it would take a resoldering.

I use the vise and the tool every time. The test confirmed the valves and the washers are sealed. It's the entire valve body that is no longer sealed against the pump tube. The solder is holding it in place but just not sealed entirely around. I already had to resolder 2/3rds of the barrel to the pump tube. This repair is easy compared to trying to resolder the valve body inside the pump tube.
The finish of the brass looked bad so I polished it all to a mirror finish, clear coated it and refinished the walnut. I told my son he now has a nice wall hanger until I can figure out how to seal the valve body into the tube.

You can seal with epoxy. Clean the pump tube with acetone. Use a slow drying epoxy and use a dowel rod to push the epoxy into the seam between the valve and tube. You want something like J B Weld or West Marine epoxy. West Marine is very thin like honey. Let dry for two days somewhere warm. The slower drying epoxies get harder.
Another technique would be to try penetrating lock tite 290. It is a thread locking penetrant, they also list its uses as a crack sealant.

I used loctite 290 on a Crosman 114 that leaked past the breech solder joint when fired. Worked great.

Hmmm, so it's leaking between the compression chamber and the tube. Originally it was soldered in place at the factory. Don't know about the other suggestions here, I've never run in to this issue with a 312. They may be an easy fix for you. But, twere me, I'd send it to Tim McMurray to fix it. He's a master re-solderer. I had a 114 once that also leaked through the solder, and Tim fixed it;
