Such a loss to the airgun community but even more so to his family. Praying for his family during this time of loss and grieving.

Bob Werner was a very good friend of mine and until recently I just found out that he's no longer with us. I will miss you my friend and I pray and ask the lord to give you and your family bliss and comfort in knowing that your in a much better place. You will always be remembered in my mind as well as my heart and always remembered as the pioneer of Gate way to airguns and all the your contributions you've made to the airgun world. May god keep you in his realm and your family safe, amen!

Sad news indeed. I got the GTA email yesterday. I wish the best for his family. I also consider myself very fortunate to have met Bob personally. It was in his garage in Simpsonville where he showed me the basics of spring guns and how to tune them. We did ( or more like Bob did,....I watched) a tune on an old Spanish made Norica Marksman rifle. I gained a whole new insight on what truly makes a custom tuned springer "tuned". He tuned my first springer Crosman Sierra Pro as well as my first "serious" airgun, the German Diana 34. Still have these guns and the 34 is one of the most beloved rifles in my collection. I was also given the opportunity to be a moderator for the GTA for a time. That was a lot of fun and Bob was always there to lend his advice. It was Charlie da Tuna that gave me the confidence to dive into my later guns, to tune them myself, to be rewarded with awesome shooting springers,... and I am confident Bob would be proud that he passed on some of his knowledge unto me. I am forever grateful to Bob for all of this. Rest well my friend, and God be with you. Thomas

Bob helped me sort out a GRT trigger that I bought from him for my QB58. I was just learning about airguns. I went on to win the 2012 AAFTA Nationals in Hunter/Piston with that gun and trigger. I'm still winning big matches with it. I wish I had been able to meet him in person. We'll miss him.
