My B26-2 PIX after stock repair n polish

So I got a B26-2 thumb stock that the stock cracked on and Mike M replaced the stock with a new straight stock (better) but that cracked a week later too. So I set out to fix them both. Here is the B26-2 .177 after repair and polish last winter. Now before anyone says anything,
NO YOU CAN NOT HAVE HER!
Drilled out the pistol grip from inside. Ran a lag bolt in it to force open the crack and stuck a ton of super glue in the crack removed the bolt fast and stood on it cause getting a clamp on it would have taken too long. After that was set I took a hard wood dowel flattened one side a little to let the glue squish out and covered it with 2 ton epoxy and filled the hole too. Shoved it in the hole and clamped it down with a screw clamp and two blocks of wood. Let it sit for 2 days. Ground out the excess on the inside with a dremil tool, wet sanded the crack and polished the whole thing up with car polish and wax. Turned out awesome!
Close up of where the crack was in the pistol grip.
I'll post some shots of the thumb stock later.

That looks great! I'm going to have to try your advice on the super glue and the car wax for polishing. Now to just find another day off!

HAHA I hate snow and that pic was a few months ago.
Thanks for the compliments. I have another one of those stocks I am going to strip stain and polish soon. Then i will but it on the .22 B26-2 and stick the thumb stock in the closet.

With your skills, you could do a lot with one of those high comb thumb stocks! There is a lot to work with there.

Excellent job on the repair and on the refinish Mike. Looks GREAT!!!! With this being your second stock, this gun must be a real mover and shaker.
This bad gal seen a tune yet? She DOES look sweet though.
Happy Shooting!!!!

Daveshoot, I hate those high comb stocks and the thumb stocks in general. I am a traditional straight stock kinda guy. But I will fix up my existing thumb stock and set it aside just in case I need it.
Ezman -Dave, I have tuned this gun replaced the spring and seal with the Crosman Quest spring and seal, polished the trigger and everything else. It started to buzz a little last week so i am going to take it down and check the spring and do a little more work like buttons and washer placement. But it is a real good shooter placing pellets hole in hole at 25 to 30 yards.
