Has anyone replaced front open sight blade by modifying blade and super gluing on TRUGLO Replacement Fibers?

I use 0.040" TruGlo FO rods in my custom made front sights and LDC/front sight combos done by Geo Schoonmaker here at GTA. He makes them w/the holes already there and all I need to do is insert the rod in the color of my choice. A thread on his LDC is here: https://www.gatewaytoairguns.org/GTA/index.php?topic=145272.0 (https://www.gatewaytoairguns.org/GTA/index.php?topic=145272.0)

I have also used stock FO front sights (that use a too large rod for my liking) by filling the holes with thermoset plastic and a piece of 0.040" music wire. When I remove the wire, I slide a TruGlo FO rod back in its place. I've done the same thing with non FO front sights but I drilled a hole using a pin vice. I haven't tried gluing a rod atop a sight but as long as you were careful not to hit it on anything I think it could work. But I've even broken a Gamo factory front FO sight so I guess mine need to be better protected.
