Slugs vs Pellets in my Impact

Playing around with the new H&N 27gr slugs Gen2 in my Impact MK2. They are grouping pretty good with my current tune. I will be testing/tuning my Impact with the 25gr that I just received from H&N. Hopefully I will get it to shoot well as that is my preferred weight so my Impact is set to shoot this slug and the Redesign 25.4gr at the same power output. One tune for both ammo is my hope. Too much snow and cold to do any testings now. But I will stick to hunting my next coyote though.

Good shooting! I have been doing a little LR shooting. So far the best accuracy has been the H&N .218 21gr. I'm going to re-try the NSA's in various weights. I tried them the other day, but the wind had already increased. So not really a fair test. Also want to do a test for holdover at various yardages.

Thanks Ken. What speed are you running these 21gr slugs? How far do they group well? So far the H&N 27gr gen2 has been working really well in my Impact. I am dying to try out the 25gr gen2 slugs. But it is too cold right now to do any tests. Have fun with yours.

I am shooting them at 1000fps at 130bar in the RTI Prophet Performance II. I wanted to try for the NUAH club. My second group was 1.114" at 102yds. One shot was just outside the 10 ring. A couple of days later I was trying again and had 4 shots in the 10 ring the 5th shot would have been in the 10 ring but I was using the hold over method and only held over 1 mil instead of 2mil. It was dead center but 3.5" low. I'm new to bench rest shooting so trying to improve my technique.
I ran out of that tin of slugs and opened another. They are starting to oxidize, so I'm going to try lubing them and see what happens with the accuracy, but not expecting anything great based on what happened yesterday when I tried them dry. I had lubed the first tin with a little Balistol, can't remember if they were oxidozed or not.
