Thanks to both of you for your responses, however this is a new rifle and should not happen. The first shot it leaked air. It may be that the oil allowed the o ring to seal better. Who knows, but I'll see what happens when I try the trusted (for accuracy) JSB's.
Fact brand new O-rings fail even on multi billion dollar flying machines.

That gun is a power house. Crosman pellets are waaaaay to light. Heck jsb 18 will be waaaay to light unless the power wheel is turned down a bunch. Get some 25.39 and smash some stuff. Lol
Wow! Have these rifles got some power! The air leak has returned, however it doesn't stop JSB 18's on 1/2 power cracking the sound barrier. I will check its accuracy in my basement later this week.
Is the mag a tight fit in the breach, or does it not have enough spring pre load to rotate when cycling ? AEA is good about sending replacement mags if they have them in stock. If it is a tight breach fit binding the mag, the barrel can be adjusted to lessen the grip, if the mag is under sprung it can be wound a turn tighter, or 1/2 turn etc. with a pin hole mod.
