Been working on this postol I bought from matchstickshooter as a project gun. The barrel is mostly cleared now. I say mostly because a pellet is actually traveling down the barrel finally, but is not yet going all the way through.I feel some confidence the pellet will make it all the way by the next time I work on the pistol, which means attending to parts replacements, beginning with the breech seal.Anybody know oring sizes or parts substitutes for these no longer available pistols? Not trying to break the bank or restore a collectible. I really like the feel, look, and design and want to get to shooting!
Quote from: dtdtdtdt on November 21, 2022, 02:59:48 PMProbably not a good idea to use BBs they are steel. I cringe to think of the impact on the bore. I suggest getting a can of cheap lead pellets at Walmart and use them to see if things are working better. While not the best idea for a gun in excellent condition, for one this abused, get a pistol cleaning kit and .177 brass or bronze brushes intended for powder firearms. Hoppes and others make a solvent designed for removing lead from powder guns. Use in place of the secret sauce. Fill the bore with it and let it sit for a few days. Then scrub the bore clean and dry with patches. Hopefully, the rifling will survive the treatment. As noted, dissolved lead ingested is a really really bad idea so don't lick your fingers!!! JOKE!! Wear plastic or rubber gloves when working with it. of course I'm not shooting bb's out of it!! I only used that for a test. With the barrel open if I can drop a bb through the barrel, I should be able to try a pellet.

Why do you think the pellets got stuck in there???Do not shoot it, change the seals. -Y
