Thanks guys. I'm trying to keep this simple so I think I will order the GRT-III. I mainly want to reduce the length of the pull but a little lighter pull would also be welcome. It seems terribly long. Thanks again.
Thanks Michael. I am still learning how these triggers work and your experience is useful. In the case of my son's gun, the sear screw setting I selected is close to the what the bearing would provide but it is a little less sear engagement that the bearing would give me. There is a little "slop", in other words. I left the sear screw about 1/2 turn from the minimum that would allow sear engagement. Even with the extra 1/2 turn I fired the gun several times with no sign of a slam fire or accidental discharge. I am thus confident it is safe. It is a one stage trigger, however, which is what I prefer. I don't hate two stage triggers with a light first stage but prefer the simplicity of a single stage that is nice and crisp and not too heavy. This isn't exactly that but it is a lot lighter than stock but has a little travel before discharge. Probably safer but a little harder to be accurate with. If it was my gun I would decrease the sear engagement a bit more but for my son, I am more comfortable with it as I left it.Jim
