Does anyone own the cometa 220 galaxy in .177 720fps? I am seriously considering buying this rifle. I have read a few reviews online but would like to hear first hand if possible from an owner about their experiences with the rifle. I would be using the rifle for plinking and vermin dispatch around the house.
Thanks,

By far the best feature of the Cometa 400 is the trigger, which isn't far off a Rekord, at half the price. The 220 has a much simpler, poorer trigger. I wouldn't recommend anyone getting a "lower than 400" Cometa.
If the 400 is overpowered for your needs, it can easily be detuned to whatever power level, including shooting 700's in .177 cal. The gun is really quite lightweight and handy, unlike many other higher power springers.

Thanks for your feedback I am aware of the 400 I have a couple of high power Weihrauchs I was just looking for a budget minded plinker that is lightweight. Can the trigger on the 220 be worked on to smooth it out, other than the trigger is there any other issues?
Thanks.

I have the Cometa 220, it shoots about 720 fps with the 7.33 gr JSB Exact RS pellets and about 730 fps with the RWS basics. The Crosman Premier Hollowpoints are about 690 fps.
