The kit came in and I'm just putting it together and there's only one thing I don't see where it goes.I'm thinking it might go between the seal and the aluminum piece but I'm not sure why it would be needed.

I probably should have replaced the valve shaft seal. All the rubber in this gun was brittle. The polymer spring splintered when I compressed it to remove the pin.
