I got full on ham, turkey, dressing, mashed potatoes and green beans all bathed in turkey gravy. Enjoyed some beef roast with it too. My favorite was the dressing with turkey gravy.

Happy Thanksgiving guys!

Problem with the lizard is, they don't hold much stuffing.

Just got up from an awesome meal. I'll go in for round 2 after we get back from visiting Killer and delivering his meal.

Yes, we are humble and grateful for what we have.
We toiled hard for many years making other people rich but we survived to the age where we can sit back, slow down and watch the World go by.

Well, Killer scored... That was one big ole man with one big ole smile on his face.
As expected he went for the deviled eggs first. Never seen 4 deviled eggs disappear that fast in my life.
He went straight to the Dutch apple pie next and when we left he was going after the turkey and stuffing and he still had 2 plates to go after that. I asked if they would put his leftovers in the fridge for him and he said "What leftovers"?

It sounds like he hasn't had a meal like that in a while. Good on you and BL for taking care of him.

We do every year, even when he lived here and we lived just down the road. For Christmas it will be ham and pumpkin pie. We also take him home cooked meals when Betty Lou makes big dinners.
"Zuke" and Banana bread several time through the year. He loves those.
He said the nursing home served ham a pumpkin pie today but it just wasn't like home made.

Just treat them like poppers. Stuff em with cream cheese  :D

I'm officially stuffed after a slice of pecan pie after a wonderful turkey dinner.

Me too, I just had a piece of that Dutch apple with whipped topping.
I'm done until tomorrow. Betty Lou has it all cleaned up and put away.
Tomorrow she will make freezer portions.
She's going to make up some turkey noodle casserole and turkey salad.

We had all the usual thanksgiving items plus a good assortment of home made stuff the guests brought.    But one item was over the top this year.   I made deviled eggs the usual way with horseradish and mustard.   Sprinkling some Cajun seasoning on top brought the eggs to a whole new level.

When family is in the food catering business the setup is buffet style. I didn't take pictures of the four pies we took, two Pumpkin and 2 Pumpkin Pecan. It was all great and we have so much to be thankful for. I think there was 18 there and more will stop by through the evening. We took home some leftovers that didn't put a dent in what was left, there was way too much food, but they have lots of family on my son in laws side that will still stop in to eat until late tonight so, I am sure a lot more will be eaten tonight. We also brought home a whole smaller smoked turkey that one of my grandsons smoked for us. We will get soup, sandwiches and other meals out of it.

My wife's scratch pie crust is the best!

Now that sounds yummy!

Grilled up another steak burger with cheese and Cajun seasoning. Tasty grub!

We had Ruebens today and Smashburgers yesterday.   With just the two of us in the RV, there is no need nor desire for big multi-course meals.  Been there, done that....yesteryear.

I'll speak up here from what I a familiar with. There are variations out there. My wife makes it with these ingredients and it is great.
Lettuce Chopped romaine and iceberg.
Sweet Red Onion
Green Pepper
1 bag of frozen baby peas
Miracle Whip (this is the only thing we use Miracle Whip for)
Bacon Cook crispy and cool, crumble ahead of time
Hard boiled eggs chopped or sliced
Grated cheese Cheddar

Dan is close, I can't do Green Pepper so she leaves that out.

Seems I remember some sort of beans in the 7 layer.

Oh yeah, I had left overs yesterday too.. lots of left overs. A great turkey and cheese on biscuit for breakfast and stuffing w/ gravy and mac n cheese for dinner. Half and half apple and cherry pie.

Betty Lou picked all the meat off the turkey then boiled the remains into a strained broth for soup or whatever.
I suggested boiling some noodles in it and making a turkey noodle.
