Wondering what the differences are between the 1000x and the other similar looking hatsan a such as the 95, 85, and 87?Weight? Couple ounces difference, the 95 is a hair heavier, same with the 87. The stock on the 1000X is Beech, 95 is Turkish Walnut.Power? They use the same gas ram, just configured different inside so power is the same.I see the 1000x doesn't have the Quattro trigger - It doesn't but a few simple tweaks and a .25 cent screw will make it better than stock.Balance? Both balance well, at least to me.Length? The 1000X is about an inch and a half shorter than either the 95 or 87
Models 85/87/95: Quattro trigger, more power (85 in .22/14.3gr pellet, average hi 700s to 800fps), 44.5" long, 8.2 lbs with scope, strangely no tophat in the piston.1000X: NOT a Quattro trigger (often lousy, but fixable), little less power (Striker in .22/14.3gr pellet, average 730-750 fps), 43.5" long, 8.2 lbs with scope, does have a top hat in the piston.I would take the 1000X all day long, just because it's smaller, lighter, and cheaper, but I'm a hunter/plinker (though not great at either;). If you're a bench shooter and or don't mind the extra weight, the 87/95 is the way to go, I think.
So they are all 28mm compression tube?-Y

I have the 1000 in .25 cal. Gas ram, nice wood stock. It is easy to cock. I bought the combo and put a different scope on. It's a nice gun for starting out.https://www.fieldsupply.com/hatsan-1000-vortex-air-rifle-combo-hardwood.html
Further down the page they are showing 1000Xs in all three calibers for $109.00 (steel spring powered, non-Vortex gas piston).
