Both are pretty much a want and not need. I want a .30 Dreamtact I don’t need one. I want a larger air compressor to fill my 74 cubic foot air cylinders however I may or may not need one because I have a Nomad2 direct fill compressor and an Omega Trail Charger which allows me to fill my 100 cubic inch tanks no problem which is what I use mostly anyway. The problem rises if I want to use my larger tanks. If I want to fill my depleted tanks it makes my trail charger work OT. Can’t run more than 1/2 hour at a time. The larger Omega compressor can run continuously for 8 hours no problem. It’s quiet , tough and liquid cooled. Priced at $1400 or so shipped. If I were smart I’d get the compressor but then again if I were smart I’d be doing something else:) I’m going to get both eventually but which one first ?
Under what circumstance would a compressor need to run 8 hours continuously? If it takes that long for a compressor to fill any size vessel. I'm out.

While that sounds horrible, it is not - the Shoebox is so robust it is a true "set it and forget it" compressor. You probably could fire it up and go play a round of golf if you wanted to . . . I routinely do my typical ~45 minute top off fills with mine while I mow the lawn or do other chores that need be done with no worries at all. No cooling water or venting to mess with - just simple clean fills, with the air dried on the input side. I simply show up when it is done and unhook the tank. For all the naysayers that will want to chime in on "what if the pressure shut off fails" concerns, I do also run it on an electrical outlet timer that turns the power off too so it can't over fill - so I don't need to be around "just in case" . . .Slow and robust has its advantages . . . all the problems that come with the current crop of lower cost compressors stem from the fact that they fill too fast to properly manage their own heat. The Shoebox was the perfect solution to most of our HPA needs, and the unwillingness to see that was a big part of what killed it off.
The Trail Charger runs at Shoe Box speeds so low heat long fill time. I was going to recomend the SB in the classifieds but saw they were =. Heck get the .30 sell the big bottles
I have thought about an electric timer too. How do you determine how long to set the timer for without over or under filling?
Can the gun as it’s tactic yucky anyway and get an elkin 😁.
That Dreamline in the GRS stock sure looks purdy. I bet the ergonomics are out of this world comfortable.

I wish I had seen this thread first for context. Between the two I would get the Omega compressor. This will let you shoot as much as you want, whenever you want, and not have to worry about killing the compressor, run time, etc.
