9 volt, AA, and AAA batteries. Be warned, they fly everywhere.

sometimes I like to shoot off hand / iron sights at metal cans like vegetables come in. i place it on its side so the circular bottom is facing me. I can of course aim for the center and try to get pellets through the same hole, but I also like to try to aim right for the rim and if you hit it right it makes a loud pop and collapses the side of the can.
Or hang them from a string and if you can hit the rim it flies around whatever it’s tied to.

All kinds of shooting is fun… I don’t care if it’s a gun, if it’s got a trigger on it it’s fun.

Empty refrigerant jugs. Slugs pass through mostly but it catches some. Makes a noise that can be heard 2-300 yards away

Charms mini-pops from the Dollar Store. Bend the paper handle at the end and it can be hung anywhere. Bend it twice correctly and the pop has its own little stand that keeps it above the ground obstructions.
They vaporize when hit, spraying a paintball-like splotch behind it or disappearing in a mist of color. Entirely biodegradable.
M&Ms are also fun, especially M&M Peanut ones that shatter into pieces birds and squirrels quickly enjoy.
M&Ms are smaller than a dime, the little mini-pops are the size of a penny. These were chosen from smaller and smaller targets after getting my Huntsman Revere .22 and averaging shot groups. Have yet to miss one but so far have only shot 30-50ish yards, mostly 40-50. Fun to shoot, results are immediately visible, leaves a green environmental footprint… and cheap! But very important to me is they require NO maintenance… just shoot and forget (In case a couple might be ranging shots in places I shouldn’t shoot. Some things deserve no sanctuary.)
