New Element Helix 2-16x50mm scope for my hunting setup

I needed a better scope setup with my Pard007S for my coyote hunting and this new Element Helix 2-16x50mm was a perfect fit. The lower magnification of 2x is perfect as I am now able to scan and identify my targets downrange quicker and easier especially at night. I use the 2x to find my target then zoom in closer like 6x to take the shot for a better footage.
I have been having a hard time previously with my other Element Helix 6-24x50mm scope. My Pard007s has a build in zoom that made the 6x into something like a 15x, so the field of view was very tight. Now I am able to see much wider area thru this setup. Furthermore, this scope has a better glass and the clarity is much better. It is a bit more expensive than the 6-24x50mm, but for my purpose it is a perfect fit.
I have also bought a better tripod with a ball head mount that I can just leave my Impact on it hands free and ready for action.
Stay tuned for my Coyote#6 video as I finally tagged it after three months of stalking.

Congrats on the new scope. I hear you on the better field of view. Even the 2x is too small of a view at times in my case when hogs are just 15yds away where I wish my nv scope was 1x so I could see the surroundings a little better for improved situational awareness in follow up shots.

@Sqrl Klr. Thanks. This scope serves my need well. When I am not hunting coyotes at night, I can just use the 12x for my everyday starlings shooting. So it is a best of both world for me.
