I should have realized. Getting three airgunners to agree about scopes is gonna be like herding cats! LOL!The Hammers IS too much scope for this project. The Winnie’s are just about right. Especially the fixed four power Winchester’s.I’m also looking at this as an opportunity to try out some cheaper brands that I haven’t used before so all these are good suggestions.
The Tasco Air scope is solid as long as mil dots aren’t required. I have one on a Hatsan 125 and it has held zero and is very clear. Got it from Amazon and it is a 3-9x40 AO

BSA 4X32 AO $49.90 and you can get free shipping with a code usually. I own one - it's on a springer and so far it's good. https://bsaoptics.com/product/air-rifle-scope-outlook-4x32-adjustable-objective/
I’m abnormally cheap. In this instance I’m trying to be even cheaper than I usually am. I’ve got three cheap springers. All in the 17 fpe range. All are good, accurate .177 cal guns. I intend to give them away to some acquaintances. Anyone of these three guns might become a well used plinking or hunting gun or they may just end up in the back of a closet somewhere.Since the guns are give-aways I don’t want to spend a lot of money on optics but I feel all three guns deserve better sights than the cheap irons they came with. On the chance that the folks I give them to might use them seriously to hunt or pest I’d like to put decent glass on them but understandably I don’t want to spend a lot of money.Target is under $75 and preferably under $50.All opinions welcomed!
The best AO scope I have for around 50 bucks is the Tasco 3-9x40 AO. One inch tube. Front ring AO. Adjusts down to 6-7 yards, close. Crisp down to 5 yards, if you limit maghnification to 5x or so. The only downside is no dots/hashes, but you want cheap. Rated for springers, and no complaints with the two I have. I like all my Monstrum stuff. The prices seem to vary between cheap and, if you watch them for awhile.
