Revelations from using chronograph with 1322

The pump guns are pretty consistent most of the time. Proper oiling increases FPS. about 20 fps! FPS per pump goes down consistently with more pumps. My arms get tired and I use a lot of pellets! I will try to keep shots under 20 yards for maximum effectiveness. About 12 FPE at 17 pumps. now on to trigger improvements and accuracy checks. I have been using Crosman Premier Domed because they have been accurate enough (1/2" groups at 25 yards) in my HW95. I am willing to spend a little more if something else proves more accurate. Any good suggestions?

if you are getting 1/2" or better at 25 yards with the domes... that is very good!
Every gun is different with the pellet it chooses to "like". Do you have a Crosman barrel on that or a Lother Walther? My guns with either the LW or the Crosman Disco barrels seem to prefer the Crosman super points. My last build, a 1377 with a Disco barrel seemed to be a little better with the JSB match pointed.

The 1/2" grouping was with my Weihrauch and Crosman domed pellets. I zeroed in my 14.5" Crosman 1322 before mods so needs to be done again. The groups were at 25 yards, but were more like 3/4'-7/8' The Crosman now has a larger valve and transfer port and will be used with 15 pumps. I haven't checked accuracy since. The barrel is a Crosman without a choke. I did dress the crown and smooth around the transfer port on the barrel. Modifications were a Magnum Airpower valve and cupped piston and larger transfer port. The gun immediately made more power even at 10 pumps(8.7 FPE). I tested to 20 pumps for 12.77 FPE. It made 11.84 FPE at 17 pumps and 11.27 FPE at 15 pumps. I am not married to the crosman domed, but they sure work well with the Gravmag 9 shot magazine. some of the accuracy "problems" may lie in the trigger mechanism. It has a little too much travel for my taste and, as of now, is a little gritty. On my stock 1322, I have polished the trigger and sear, lightened the sear spring pressure and added a sear spring guide. That trigger is much better. I may try the 1701P trigger set-up just to compare. I hope to post some pictures of groups (plan some 20 shot groups) when I get back outside. these will be bench rested just to check the gun's capability.

A lot can be done to improve the stock 1322 trigger. But IMO once you try the 1701 trigger there’s no going back. I have 3 and wish all my Crosman pistols had one.

I'd try RWS Meisterkugelns Wadcutters in that HW95. Might get holes touching.
