I picked up a three Styer LP1 pistols customized by AZ. They have weaver rails. I have always used rifle scopes on my pistols but would like to put either a pistol scope or a red dot on one of these but know nothing about either.Any suggestions or what I should be looking for? I have searched but didn’t find much for air pistol specifically.Attached is a garbage pictures of two of them for reference.
Red dots for fast target acquisition and scopes for precision, generally.

Red dot is fast acquisition on rifles, but really no faster acquisition than a scope, on a pistol.I competed in USPSA Practical Pistol matches for a few years and I never saw a competitor shooting with a scope. A big, bright 5 MOA dot is much easier to pick up than scope crosshairs. I have a good selection of pistols with iron sights, reflex optics (tube and exposed types) and scopes, and I have no doubt which is fastest for me...
