Gamo Swarm 10 pellet magazine
«

I find putting 0.177 pellets into the Gama Swarm magazine difficult. First the 10 holes that hold pellets is tricky to rotate and load as the pellet must be pushed in far enough to rotate it into the magazine and can result in the pellet being pushed through and out if a tool is used to push. My big fingers often can not push the pellet in far enough to rotate cylinder. I have the older first model magazine. I have tried both was cutter and hollow point pellets
I note I have often loaded my 12 pellet magazine used in the Crosman. 1077 CO2 without any problems.
Looking for tips and advice. I do like the low cost and it shoots well.

Surprised my post on Gamo Swarm didn't geather any input. Is this Gamo not popular? It's become not popular to me.
Updating. I've gotten better at loading the magzine, but now pellets drop out during cocking. I've loaded the magazine about 20 times and fired all 10 pellets without current drop out problem. Then the cocking started throwing the pellet out most times.
Examining the cocking I've observed the push rod that pushes the pellet out of the magazine doesn't (no longer?) travel all the way to the barrel where the pellet is supposed to be inserted. Thus, as cocking is finished the withdrawal of the magazine dislodgese the poorly inserted pellet and throws it out of gun.
The magazine assembly has what appears to be an adjustment on the magazine structure which could adjust the loading rod to travel deeper into chamber. I was not successful with turning this adjustment, perhaps it isn't an adjustment mechanism. Appears to be small phlips head which doesn't allow any tool I have to turn/adjust it.
I observe one can use this Gamo in the single load method common to break barrels.

Jerry,
I'm not a Gamo shooter, but I've seen many Swarm comments here in the Spanish Gate. I think a search might yield plenty of results. The gist has been that the Swarm system works maybe 50/50, with many shooters opting to take it out altogether. Others have had better luck. And the earlier the Swarm model, the worse they function, it seems.

Thanks Toxylon
Good to see Gamo, my first, is a popular gun. I made a discovery that may apply to others, below. First, I got into magazine pellet shooting on a Crosman 1077. A CO2 gun. It worked flawlessly. Now damaged/worn out.
On Gamo Swarm, it worked okay for the first couple hundred shots, then it started throwing the pellet out on the cocking stroke. I examined the action carefully and concluded, correctly, that the loading rod was not extending far enough to seat the pellet. Today it occurred to me I may not be putting in a full stroke encouraged by the feel that the cylinder was loaded and locked was enough. That is I stopped moving the break barel arch before the loading rod could seat the pellet. Closer look at the action supported my guess so I loaded another magazine and cocked with a full intent of pulling the break barrel to the end of its arch. Seems to FIX the problem. If I discover any other evidence I'll report.
I'll not try but think my experience could be of value to Gamo!
My gun was purchased December, 2022, so would be from recent production of 0.177 Whisper Swarm. First generation magazine.

Gamo is sending me a new loader assembly. Good warranty service. Hope it fixes problem. I can always use as a single shot break barrel If replacement doesn't work out. I like the accuracy and power of the gun.

Jerry_NJ,
I have a GSwarm10x IGT, i have around a hundred shots through. I first used FTT but the pellet skirts would bend even a small amount during loading. I switched to Crosman Pirhana 14.3gr, these hard pellets work very good in the magazines and give good accuracy at 35-40yards+.
I find when you load the pellet, twist the mag a little to allow it the pellet to wiggle in. Also if you had to, you can remove the loading assembly and shoot without it. Thats good though you are getting a replacement.

Thanks, Gamo customer support figured a bad magazine and said they'd send.Free a replacement. I argued the magazine not the problem and said loading mechanism, a complicated thing, doesn't completely insert pellet. The loading assembly arrived today.
Earlier, as said, the gun worked well first 200 shots. Then started throwing pellets out during cocking. Also, I took magazine apart and lubed rubber holding band. This didn't help.
I'll report after installing new loader. Hope problem isn't also magazine. Customer support first offered to supply a new one, because of known magazine problems?? Don't know. I do know the second generation sports a complete redesign of cocking and magazine.

Installed new loading mechanism, easy to do, but very small holding clip is very small and if dropped would be very difficult to find. I didn't drop
Ran two 10 shot magazines through gun. All worked perfectly. Hope it holds up well.
Thanks to Gamo for prompt and easy warranty support.
