It is still nagging at me when I find one I think I will buy it I would rather see one in a shop than buy from the internet Checked Krale but they don't seem to stock them. Sooner or later the stars will line up properly.
I am still humming and ha_ing. There was one for sale here,a 400, advertised for $250. A good price but pick up only in some out of the way place where it would cost far too much to go and get it . Beside that the vendor said he could not hit a barn with it. (Badscope?)Skillet, if you can I would appreciate a test to see what your gun's power output is.
I just bought 2 used fenix 400 LT . The laminated stock versions. I am in the process of making a carbon fiber sleeve for the barrels . I'm in Canada and these ones were the slow speed versions. Not for long .LolIf you have a lathe and can find thin enough metal to make a new spring sleeve , a JM E3650 can be made to work. I tried a plastic sleeve from some tool wrapping I had laying around but it didn't stand up past 40 shots. I was getting 750fps in 22 cal with a stock piston seal that i think is slightly undersized. Using H&N ftt pellets. . The cocking arm punched through at the very end. Needs to be metal. Made some tophats from steel, aluminum and delrin and fps was pretty well the same. I have 2 cometa fusions in 177 and 22 cal that I bought around 10 yrs ago and they are really good accurate guns. Not HW97 accurate, but not far off. I have been taking measurements along the way of the externals just for future reference so I don't have to rip it apart to make a new tophat or spring guide if I decide to try something different.
