First thing you need to do is take the rifle's action out of the stock. From there you will need to dive into the guts of the gun and see what is what. Could be weak spring, could be small transfer port, could be broken spring, could be bad breech or piston seal.If you have a spring compressor, use it.-Y
The timing of your post is ironic. I was just cleaning the parts up since I have her in pieces and noted an ‘X5’ stamp on the rifle so ya, not a B15 build; my apologies. I ‘ve had the thing for years and always assumed it was an X10 lol.So, with this in mind, compared to your picture, my center latch probably hovers around 1” longer when you compare the two. The X5, being a youth rifle, was rated closer to the 700 fps range stock, and like you said, most likely due to a weaker spring and such. Would we concur shortening the center latch will give me a bump?If I get all crazy see about finding an X10 spring and really get it zipping! *Yes faster isn’t always better* Goal to keep her sub sonic but just under to get the best of both worlds! This is proving to be a very educational project!
Where is all the fun and frustration in option #4 . I’d love to see if I can do it with the parts on hand. For whatever reason the challenge is exciting!
