Bummer..... If you don't make this one a new match starts every 4 weeks so there will be 6 or 7 more before they end for the year.

Do the rules allow indoor shooting? I have an empty warehouse Sundays.

There is nothing in the rules stating you can't but to shoot this match indoors you must invite the rest of us also ;D 8)

I'll see if I can get up for next week. But if you look at my rifles it's going to be a .177 or .22 Springer, so I would be happy hitting paper.

For a RAW .30 that looks pretty good. I'd likely use my hw97 or diana 34. Chairgun says it's doable  ;D

Thanks Marty, I put shooting aside when my Mother died to take care of things. Things are better now and I am trying to get my R5M dialed in for the comps. Best so far has been 1.625" and The Mutant is just so hard to beat but I hope to equal it with the 30 cal. Watch for a target from it in the future

I was invited to post my most recent 100 yard NUAH target here as well.  Best 5 shot group I have EVER gotten out of ANY of my Texans.  Other details not mentioned in this video - shooting optically centered with the Hawke Frontier 5-30X50 - elevation adjustments made with cold shot base (no turret adjustments).

Well - I have finally done it!  It took a lot of lead (especially slinging .45 cal 350 grain slugs).  104 yards - here are the photos and here is the video.
Now that the snow is melting - I want to set out to be one of the first 200+ yard NUAH members.  Wish me luck!

Video Highlight: AirForce Texan .45: Tuning for Accuracy - Shooting MOA Groups with Big Bore Airguns - watch: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2oRS1pttZbw (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2oRS1pttZbw)

I've been meaning to do this video for awhile now as I get a lot of questions about how I tether when shooting from the bench. In this video we will cover the Huma-Air External Regulator. Instead of just focusing on the products I use, I wanted to make this a bit of an educational video of how I actually tune for accuracy while I am tethered.

It was also a great chance to try out the Nick Neilson NSA 350 grain Boat Tail Hollow Points as well. I had tested these out last week at 50 yards and was putting shots on top of each other so I was hopeful these would stay true at 100+ yards if I could find the right pressure combination.

I have been trying for my Gateway to Airguns (GTA) Nuthin' Under a Hundred (NUAH) Master Rating for quite some time and this little magic pill did the trick. In order to hit this status you have to get 5 consecutive shots over 100 yards within 1 inch all within the #10 ring on the NUAH approved target. Watch this video to see how it went!

Chris, good to see you joining in. In the future you also need to add your score in the post. I posted your score  50/50 2x in the results as it was obvious by the pictures. Good shooting.

Awesome - I wasn't sure what to post.  I will remember that for future shoots and hope to be a return participant.   Thanks for offering this to our community!

Whew! Got mine in just before the deadline.  Went to the range a couple weeks ago but it was too blustery to do anything more than shoot two targets before realizing it was NOT a day to try for a competition score.

This morning was a completely different story.  Beautiful morning, pleasant temperature, and very little wind.  Beyond that, everyone else must have decided to sleep in, I had the range to myself for over three hours!

So close again to an upgrade, I guess I'll just have to try again.

Nice shooting everyone!  That was fun.  I don't think I will ever be able to top that group with the .45 Texan - so I am going to use the .25 Talondor for future shoots.  Thanks for doing these - love it!

1.69 group with the Texan .45 - that my friend was a FINE example of big bore shooting!   A lot of guys get into big bores and think it is going to be like shooting their .22 / .25 with pellet on pellet action - ummm nope.  Everything is amplified with these things.  Harmonics - muzzle air turbulence - recoil all make these big bores exponentially more challenging for accuracy.  When I get frustrated I keep telling myself this is my deer hunting gun and as long as those pills land within a 6 inch circle - I've got meat in the freezer!

Chris good shooting. I hope to see a 200+ target from you soon. Me and Doug need some competition. We're the only ones that has tried it so for and mine was not a great group but enough to get me into the 200 club.
