Title: Beeman RX-2
Post by: miltoncaniff on October 09, 2018, 09:59:04 AM
Did the Beeman RX-2 ever come with an open sighted barrel marked Theoben. I just got one at a gunshow in Iowa. It also has the laminated stock. I thought they all had no provision for open sights and had a moderator attached. Did I buy an amalgamation of two rifles?

Hello Christopher
All RX-1's came with non-laminated stocks, and all RX-2's came with laminated stocks.

I think all of both models were marked "Theoben" on the barrel.

No guns were sold with moderators, only with simple muzzle weights.

Most RX-2's came with open sights, the one's without them and with muzzle weights are late-ish model guns.

Thank you for educating me. Even though I thought it might be a barrel off another rifle, it is in very good shape and as I see it, changing barrels on the HW90 and RX-2's is not a big deal. I have 3 barrels for my HW90 (.177-.22 and.25). It has the .22 on now and I've never changed it, but I can! The thought with the extra barrel's was so I didn't need to buy another rifle to shoot multiple calibers. Well, blew that!
